We’re all either going in to a crisis, coming out of a crisis or we are smack in the middle of a crisis. All of us need an App for Crisis in our lives. Our guest speaker, Jerel Law, helped us download the App for Crisis. Jerel shared some very personal and recent crisis his family has faced. He pointed us to a particular story in Scripture and helped us understand the nature of God’s role in our crisis.

Our guest speaker was Jonathan Huffman, pastor of Venue Church that’s forming in Harrisburg, NC. Jonathan takes us on a journey through some of Solomon’s last writings to show us that most of what we pursue still leaves us empty. The opposite of Emptiness is not fulfilment because you can be full of a lot of stuff and still be empty. What we need is the peace Jesus offers. Listen as Jonathan compels us to seek the gift Jesus gives us of peace.

OVERALL THEME VERSE: Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. (Proverbs 4:23)
Synopsis: We’ve all got areas of out life where we are stuck…Areas that keep us from moving from where we are to where God wants us to be. What’s great about God, if you need help with managing your anger, there’s an app for that. If you are overwhelmed by worry, there’s an app for that. If you are never content and there’s emptiness you’re trying to fill (always wanting more), there’s an app for that. And if you are facing a crisis, there’s an app for that. Yep. There’s an app for just about anything…only through life in Jesus Christ. Each of these areas of our lives give us a window into what’s going on in our heart. Our actions reflect the conditions of our heart.
